Avon LIVE! Free Concert | June 19 || 5:30 - 8:45 p.m.

Live Music: Shook Twins with opener Shakedown Family Band 


We are thrilled to kick off the AvonLIVE! Concert series on Wednesday, June 19th with Shook Twins! Sisters from Idaho and currently residing in Portland, Oregon, their music incorporates banjo, guitar, upright bass, mandolin, ukulele along with other acoustic instruments, and has been referred to as "quirky folk." Local act Shakedown Family Band will perform at 5:30 p.m. 

The free Avon Live! concerts return this summer, offering ten exceptional evenings of live music...rain or shine! The Wednesday evening music series has become a tradition in the community, featuring award winning national talent, and providing  a chance to gather as a Town and experience live music, fresh and local unique foods, a cold beverage, and enjoy a summer evening outside.

Beaver Creek Rodeo at Avon | June 20 || 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

The can't miss event of summer! Pair your cowboy boots with a glass of champagne as you enjoy the authentic yet intimate Beaver Creek Rodeo Series at Avon. Back for its 18th year, the Rodeo lights up Thursday nights in summer with an event that offers something for everyone in the family!

Open Water Swim | Thursday, June 20 || 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Nottingham Lake is back and better than ever this summer! The Avon Recreation Department provides the only open water swim in the valley. It's a perfect way to train for your first (or third) outdoor triathlon. Just be sure to bring a wetsuit - the water can be chilly!
  • Fee:$5 per person
  • Check-in at the Avon Performance Pavilion
  • Average water temp. is between 60 - 68 degrees, wet suits recommended
  • Must be 15 years of age with parental release
  • For your safety - lifeguard staff and distance buoys will be provided

Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge | June 20 - 22

The Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge is coming to Avon's Harry A. Nottingham Park in 2019! This nationally televised event showcases some of the best dogs in the country competing in a variety of canine sports. Come out and watch dogs of all breeds compete in events like the Incredible Mountain Dog Competition, Agility, Diving Dog, Flying Disc, Fetch It, Jack Russell Hurdle Racing and more! Bleacher seating and free admission! Well behaved dogs on leash are welcome!

Dunk N' Dash | Monday, June 24 || 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

What's better than practicing open water swimming in Nottingham Lake? Running a 5k when you're done! Featuring a weekly 2.4 mile swim in addition to shorter distances, Dunk N' Dash  is the perfect way to train for your first (or thirtieth) triathlon. Now in its 15th season, hundreds of athletes have used this series as a launching ground for summer triathlon training. Just be sure to bring a wetsuit - the water can be chilly!

Schedule of Events

  • 4 - 8 p.m. Beer Tasting ($25 in advance/$35 day of event)
Enjoy  unlimited samples in your glass taster from 60+ of the best brews in the high country, across Colorado and beyond. The festival is open to everyone, but you will need a beer fest ticket to drink. No outside alcohol permitted.

  • 4:30 p.m. Avid for Adventure Mountain Bike Course & Free Family Fun Zone Open
    • Avid 4 Adventure will provide a fleet of mountain bikes and helmets to tackle their mountain bike course, which is custom built for kids, giving them an opportunity to increase their bicycle skills in a safe and structured manner.  The Avid instructors have a proven technique for getting kids who are new to biking to ride independently without training wheels! 
    • Feelin Froggy Inflatables is providing three different inflatable features, including a special 'Crayon' for younger children, and the Pirate Ship and Frozen Bounce House for older children. Both of these features have large bounce areas, and super fun slides to fly down.
  • 5 p.m. Free Scavenger Hunt: Details to come!
  • 6 - 8 p.m. Rock Out to the headlining band, Bob Schneider with opener Tori Pater!
